Heartfelt Creations and Creative Embellishments...

Welcome Everyone!
It seems like such a long time since we've visited!

It's another Heartfelt Creations Wednesday, and this week we're also featuring some of the lovely elements from Creative Embellishments!  I've chosen to use a decorative frame on my creation today along with the Blushing Rose Collection.

Here's my project for this week...

I chose to use one of the flip fold album inserts to create quite a substantial card!
I'll post a few pictures along the way so you can see how the whole thing folds out and what it looks like completely opened!

As I mentioned, I've used the Blushing Rose Collection, as well as the rose stamp and die from the Classic Rose Collection.  As I decided which decorative paper to use, I decided that the blue and purple combination would make a soothing Sympathy card.

Let's take a look at how the card flips open...

The image on the side smaller side panel is a stamped and die cut image from the Blushing Rose Collection that I've colored and added onto the panel.  The other rose images have been fussy cut from one of the patterned papers.

Let's flip the card open even further...

Here you can see I've matted the center of the card using the same patterned paper I've used on the card front!

And here's a full look at the card totally extended...

The panel on the far left has had all of the roses along the bottom and upper corner fussy cut from a piece of patterned paper as well.  The two stemmed roses have been stamped and die cut from the Blushing Rose Collection.

Lastly, here's a close up of the flower cluster on the front of the card...

I've painted and antiqued the chipboard from Creative Embellishments and since I wanted it to be a main focal point on the card I've kept the flower cluster fairly simple starting with a base of foliage, a stamped rose and buds which I've colored blue, shaped and adhered on top of the leaves.  I've then stamped, colored and shaped several small purple flowers that I've shaped to look more like a wild rose.

A touch of sparkle to the flower cluster as well as a few of the preprinted roses on the paper both on the inside and outside of the card and it was complete!

I've included the full instructions for creating this card down below, and enough photos here for you to reference should you like to try to recreate this yourself.

Be sure to pop by the Heartfelt Creations blog to see the rest of the wonderful projects the team have created using the items they incorporated from Creative Embellishments as well.  Always such a diverse collection of projects for every taste and style!

Until next time...

We invite you to enjoy the finest in paper crafting as we present the Blushing Rose Collection!

As you can tell by the release notes, this collection reminded me of grandly decorated parlours and rose themed patterned china!  So...it should only go without saying that I have created a project that I felt totally went with the theme!

Are you ready to join me for some tea?

Allow me to walk you through a few images that show you each of these project individually.
Let's start with the adorable miniature tea pot!

I thought that the beautiful rose filled paper was the perfect base for a china like looking tea pot!
I've added some Inka Gold to the edges of the project to give it a vintage shimmer, and I've also inked all of the edges with a soft brown color as well.  I thought the pearl on the top was just the icing on the cake!

I've crated a small rose cluster with some of the stamped images in the collection, as well as a dimensional hand shaped rose.  I've also incorporated some chipboard foliage from Creative Embellishments into the floral cluster.  I've painted it with Inka Gold so it too had a gold vintage feeling.

Here's a closer peek at the rose cluster...

Of course we couldn't enjoy tea together if we didn't have a cup and saucer...

I've applied the same inking with the brown colored ink and the Inka Gold finishing so it matched the tea pot.  I've created another dimensional rose along with some leaf foliage and adhered it to the base of the cup.  I've added some Creative Embellishments chipboard into this design as well.

I had so much fun creating this little set!
I hope you've enjoyed seeing it and have been inspired to give an altered art piece a try yourself!

There are also many more ravishing Blushing Rose Collection projects up on the Heartfelt Creations blog!  Do be sure to stop by for a visit and leave some love for all of the designers.

Tea Pot - Using white card stock, electronic die cutting machine and SVG cut file, cut base of teapot.  Adhere together using a strong paper glue.  Using your choice of patterned paper, die cut decorative paper pieces for tea pot and adhere using a strong paper glue as per instructions accompanying cut file purchase.  Once adhesive is dry, using a light brown color, ink all seams of tea pot and lid.  Then using your finger tip, apply a light touch of Inka Gold over the same areas to achieve an antiqued vintage look resembling that on older fine china.  Stamp the rose and bud flower cluster from the Blushing Rose Swirls Cling Stamp Set onto white card stock using VersaMark ink, apply gold embossing powder and set with heat tool.  Color using Chameleon Markers. Cut using coordinating die.  Shape slightly using flower shaping kit and adhere to tea pot as shown.  Stamp one inking of the middle sized rose flower images, as well as the leaf image from the Classic Rose Cling Stamp set and once again heat emboss using gold embossing powder.  Color using Chameleon Markers and die cut using coordinating die. Using a spritz of water to the backside of each flower piece, shape using your deluxe flower shaping tool kit and assemble to make one rose. Shape leaves as well.  Adhere flower over top stamped flower image already adhered to tea pot.  Cut a few pieces of vine from chipboard, paint with Inka Gold and adhere to floral cluster.  Snip leaf and tendril die cut into two, shape and use to fill in areas needing a little more foliage.  Add a touch of Inka Gold to white pearl and adhere to top of tea pot.

Cup and Saucer - follow same steps as used above only using cup and saucer cutting file.  Stamp, emboss, color and die cut petal pieces for one small rose and foliage.  Shape and adhere to cup and saucer set.  Apply same inking and chipboard treatments you have used on tea pot.

Dancing With Roses...

Hello and Welcome!
I cannot believe that it is Wednesday once again!

This is the last week of sharing the Classic Rose Collection by Heartfelt Creations!  Next week we begin showcasing the gorgeous Blushing Rose Collection.  If you have not seen the sneak peeks yet, you can find those here.

I decided to to create a pair of ballet slipper from a cutting file I had purchased from SVG Cuts!  After all...what goes together better than roses and ballet slippers!  LOL

These paper ballet slippers are the perfect size to create adorable ornaments...imagine these on your Christmas tree!  Even trade up the roses for tiny poinsettias....adorable!!!!

Here's a look at how the project turned out...

I love how these turned out!
The soft pink patterned paper in the paper collection was perfect to create the slippers...and the gorgeous purple hued pattern on the double sided sheet makes the insides pretty as well!
I decided to go with purple roses to match the inside of the ballet shoes.

Here's a closer look at the roses...

On this project I've added no sparkle or shine.  I thought it was soft and beautiful just the way it was.

Well, that's all for me today...short and sweet!
Be sure to head on over to the Heartfelt Creations blog to see what the rest of the design team have been up to...such a creative bunch!

Until next time...

Watch this video to learn how to create dimensional roses with the Classic Rose Collection.

Using the Classic Rose Paper Collection and SVG files, cut out all pieces for ballet slippers using electronic die cutting machine.  Assemble using a strong paper glue.  Adhere seam binding to slippers as shown, allowing enough extra ribbon to tie a bow.  Stamp several inkings of the midsized rose petals, as well as the smallest rose petals from the Classic Rose Collection onto white card stock using a dark purple ink.  Apply lighter purple color to petals using sponge dauber.  Die cut using coordinating dies, and then add a darker purple color to each of the edges of each petal.  Shape petals and assemble two medium sized roses and one smaller rose. Stamp two inkings of the leaves from the Classic Rose Cling Stamp Set onto white card stock using a dark green ink.  Apply a lighter green color to leaves and then die cut using coordinating die.  Apply a dark green ink to the edges of all the leaves using a sponge dauber. Shape and then adhere to toes of ballet slippers.  Adhere roses atop of greenery.  Stamp and color the foliage cling stamp set image from the Rose Vines Cling Stamp Set using the same technique you used for the other greenery.  Shape, and then trim apart to fill in areas needing some extra filling around roses.
