"Supercalafragalisticexpealadocious"...

"...even though the sound of it is really quite atrocious!"

Hello!
I bet I have your attention with my post title!  LOL
I also imagine I have you singing that little ditty now as well!
Do you remember which movie this little song came from?  Of course you do...it's Mary Poppins!
Do you recall watching this Disney classic as a child?  I certainly do, and I've watched it many times with my children as well.  It's one of their favorites, and it's among mine as well!

Well, you're probably wondering where I'm going with this...so let me fill you in!
Today is a new challenge over at {Pin}spirational Challenges.  Remember how it works?  There is a photo taken from Pinterest and you get to create around that photo!  Whether it be colors, images that relate to the photo, etc. it's all up to your creativity!  When I saw the picture for this week I must admit I thought I'd have to take "a spoonful of sugar to make the medicine go down!"

Take a peek...

I'm more of a "cutesy" designer and I'll admit I panicked when I saw this photo which someone obviously used a lot of imagination to create!  I wasn't sure when to start, so I headed over our sponsor Sassy Studio to see what I could scout out for this interesting photo.

I browsed for awhile and then came across the image that I knew I had to use!  That's right...it's Sassy Studio's digi "Mary Poppins"!
Now, take time to scroll back up to that inspiration picture...do you see it?  Mary Poppins was a movie with quite a bit of creativity for it's time.  The nanny was able to fly, and pull things out of her carpet bag!  She was always taking the children on outlandish adventures.  See the book in the inspiration photo?  She didn't have the children jump into a book...but remember they jumped into sidewalk chalk drawings and proceeded to have fun in the drawing they jumped in to!  Remember when they landed up at the Uncle's house for an emergency...and he was floating on the ceiling because he couldn't stop laughing?  It didn't take  long before all of them were laughing, floating and having tea on the ceiling!  The entire movie is just as imaginative as this photo we have challenged you to use!

And without further adieu...

The digi has been colored with my Tim Holtz Distress Markers.  The rest of the card has been cut out with my Silhouette Cameo.  I decided to add a sentiment to the card that I had in one of my Stamp 'n Up collections.
It reads...
"When it's dark enough, you can see the stars"  ~Ralph Waldo Emerson
Mary Poppins may not have said it, but when I read it I just thought it sounded so practical yet somewhat magical...it wasn't a far stretch that she might just have!  LOL

Here's a closer look at Mary and the sentiment...

Well, the little kiddos came bouncing out of bed this morning knowing that I had been working on this creation last night when I went to bed...they loved it!  They just thought it was so cool to have made a card based on a movie character!  I hope you think this creation is cool too!  I have to admit I went from panicked to having so much fun working on it!  I hope you will find some inspiration in the challenge photo as well and link up with us at {Pin}spirational Challenges.  I really can't wait to see how other people interpret it, and where their creativity leads them!  And don't forget to check out the {Pin}spirational Challenges blog for the other DT creations and the prize announcement!
As for me, that's pretty much it for today!  I would suggest
"let's go fly a kite, up to the highest height,
let's go fly a kite and send it soaring,
up through the atmosphere, up where the air is clear....
oh let's go fly a kite"...
but there is snow in the air here and it just doesn't sound like an appropriate activity as old man winter is approaching!  LOL
Think maybe we'll snuggle up as a family instead and watch "Mary Poppins"!

Until next time...

Beautiful card. Perfect colouring and great choice of colours. The background works really well. I used the same digi for my DT project and when I went onto the DT blog to upload and saw yours, I nearly ran away! Great job. Marina
