The Perfect Blend, is Coffee With a Friend...

...and that includes you!
So, grab yourself a cuppa and join me in another Heartfelt Creations Wednesday post!

Have you fallen in love with the Coffee Talk Collection that was released last week?
Do you have some coffee lovers on your list that you will be creating projects for?

This week I tried to keep things a little more simple in my creating...
I'm not sure that it really worked out that way when you see how everything has been layered and die cut, but with a little patience and some good measuring I know you can recreate this easily!

Here's a peek at the front of my card for this week...

You can't see it in this photo, but this card has three layers on the front of it to give it a bunch of dimension.  The cup itself has been popped up off of the inside of the card, so I knew I needed a little extra layering on the front of the card to give it the appearance I wanted.

Here's a look at the inside of the card...

I thought the coffee beans and the spoon on the inside were the perfect finishing touches.

Now, this is one of those cards that I would include a tiny note inside as I wouldn't want to write my message on the bottom of the cup to have it show through to the front.  I actually do this with a lot of my cards, simply because then the recipient can regift the card if they want to.  (I'd rather have someone regift than throw away!  LOL)

I do hope you'll hop on over to the Heartfelt Creations blog as well to see the other wonderful and imaginative creations the rest of the team have come out with this week.

Until next time...

For more ideas on how to use the Coffee Talk Collection, along with the Coffee Talk Cling Stamp Set and Die, please see video here.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AlwXTnWu9q8

Begin with a white 5"x7" card base.  For the card front background, locate the coffee bean paper within the paper collection and cut  just slightly smaller than the card base. Ink all edges using a brown ink. Locate the decorative paper as shown on the inside of card, and cut two pieces just slightly smaller than the card base as well. Ink all edges using a brown ink.  Adhere one of the pieces to the inside of the card base on right side where coffee mug image will be placed.    Find  the large image of the coffee mug in the paper collection.  Cut using coordinating die. Using your manual die cutting machine and the coffee mug die, cut the mug die cut into the front of the card base.  Closing card front, mark off where the die cut coffee mug image that you've cut from the paper collection will appear on the inside of the card.  Adhere die cut coffee mug image to the center of the card on the inside using pop dots.  Using white card stock, cut a piece the same size as the card front.  Using the coffee mug die and a manual die cutting machine, cut out a cup shaped centre after marking where you want the cut to appear using the already cut card front as a guide.   Using 3D pop dots, adhere cut white card stock panel to the card front.  Repeat the same process once more using the coffee bean decorative paper background you cut earlier.  Adhere to card front using pop dots.  Stamp several inkings onto light colored patterned paper from the collection of the coffee beans image, one of the coffee ring sentiment, as well as one of the spoon using black ink.  Die cut spoon using coordinating die and adhere to inside of card using pop dots as shown.  Fussy cut sentiment image as well as all coffee beans.  Adhere sentiment to front of card.  Arrange some of the coffee beans on the front of the card around the sentiment area, as well as on the top opposite corner, layering them slightly overlapping to create a flat base and then adding a few using the pop dots to create a dimensional effect.  Adhere a few layered coffee beans at bottom of coffee mug base on inside of card.  Locate sentiment strip pictured and cut to fit inside of card as shown.   Adhere pearl embellishments to mug.  Lastly, using the Art Institute Glue - Dries Clear trace all decorative swirls on mug and then glitter using a transparent glitter.  Allow to dry.
