Remembering Penny...

Today marks a special blog post here as well as on the Heartfelt Creations blog...
We invite you to join us in remembering our dear Design Team Member, Penny Odell through some of our favorite projects that she inspired us with.

As many of you may have heard, Penny passed away mid December.
She leaves the craft world with a wonderful portfolio of inspiration as a part of her legacy.
I got to know Penny a bit through working with her on the Heartfelt Creations design team for the last year or so.  The one thing that I will always remember about Penny are her encouraging words and visits to the design team members blogs week after week...cheering them on in what they had created.  She always had a kind word and was also so gracious in accepting compliments and she always made sure to thank you!

Penny was a very talented lady.
Allow me to share with you some of my favorite projects that have inspired me...

A beautiful card created with the "All Glammed Up" Collection.
Penny's coloring has always amazed me.  She had a beautiful technique, and this card showcases that so well.   The stunning color palette that she assembled here is rich and regal and ultra feminine.
A beauty certainly ready for the red carpet!

...moving along...

I went way back in time to the collection that started this adventure for me a few days ago to see what Penny had created with the stunning "Classic Sunflower" Collection...and came across this stunning work of art!

The colors, dimensional elements, beautiful accents that frame the photo of her daughter and granddaughter make this layout a beautiful feast for the eyes.
I'm sure her daughter and granddaughter will go back to this photo on Penny's blog many times in the years to come.
That's the beauty of the photos on your loved ones craft blogs...they will remain there to be treasured by you and your future loved ones for generations to come and are only a click away!

...moving along to the last piece of Penny's inspiration that I want to share with you today...
In this piece using the "Italiana Riviera" Collection, I love the way Penny chose to use the leaves to create one of a kind flowers!  Penny had a wonderful trait in being able to think outside the box!  She created stunning jewelry from paper, and other fantastic creations that I would have never dreamed possible.  You can find many of those things on her blog here.

Thanks so much for joining me today in remembering Penny, and in continuing to uphold her family in prayer as they mourn their loss and feel the empty hole she has left behind.
Be sure to also stop by the Heartfelt Creations blog to view their tribute and leave a personal message.

Until next time...
